Ben Youssef «School Ben Youssef " is one of the historic buildings most significant on Marrakesh. It was built by Saadien Abd Allah Al Ghalib into 1564-1565. The name Ben Youssef comes from the sultan Ali Ben Youssef.
It was the largest coranic university where the students of the whole world came to learn. The medersa was during more than four centuries a hearth of reception for the students of thirst for knowledge in various sciences, in particular in theology.
The Medersa has a quadrilateral plan of a surface of 1680 m2, in the center of this school, is white a Carrara marble basin in Italy. It includes a room of prayer and rooms for the students 132.

This Medersa true jewel is built with the elements privileged of Arabic: marble, stucco, mosaic and the wood of cedar which is imputrescible and resists time.
